KRISTA DETOR
American singer/songwriter Krista Detor was part of the Shrewsbury Folk Festival's 'Darwin Song Project' and received a fantastic response to her two solo sets at the 2009 festival, and the chance to bring her back to Shrewsbury was irresistible.
Her albums have received critical acclaim both in Europe and the US, and she's a singer/songwriter of the very highest calibre, with silky smooth vocals and a keen eye for lyrical detail.
Krista will be releasing a brand new album on this tour, which includes contributions from some of her fellow Darwin 'housemates', including fiddle from Chris Wood that was recorded in a makeshift studio at the 2009 festival!

There is a free workshop with Krista before the performance where she will discuss the songwriting process, answer questions and explain how her songs are written.
